Australia conducts one of the world's most aggressive mass surveillance programmes, US journalist Glenn Greenwald has said.
He told broadcaster ABC that Australia was "probably the country that has got away with things the most" following those revelations.
But he said "we intend to change" that, implying there could be further leaks.
He said Australia was "one of the most aggressive countries that engage in mass surveillance as a member of the Five Eyes Partnership", a reference to the intelligence network established by Australia, US, UK, New Zealand and Canada.
"There are interesting documents about what Australia is doing to privacy rights - not just to their own citizens," he said, adding that he plans to release his reports "as soon as we can". More to come
His comments came a month after whistleblower Edward Snowden criticised Australia's recently passed data retention laws at an Australian conference, where he spoke via videolink from Russia.
In March, Australia passed new laws compelling telecommunications companies to store customers' phone and computer metadata for up to two years. The government said this was aimed at combating terrorism.
Mr Snowden said he was planning to reveal more from documents taken from the US National Security Agency, including information on Australia's intelligence operations.
He said Australia's role in mass surveillance was similar to that of the UK.
"They'll collect everyone's communications, it's called pre-criminal investigation, which means they are watching everyone all the time," he said, adding that such information is also shared with other governments like the US and UK.
Mr Snowden, a former NSA contractor, exposed the extensive internet and phone surveillance being conducted by the US and the UK in 2013.
He passed NSA documents to Mr Greenwald and journalist Ewen Macaskill, who first broke the story in The Guardian.
Amazon.com Inc is in a race against Google Inc to store data on human DNA, seeking both bragging rights in helping scientists make new medical discoveries and market share in a business that may be worth $1 billion a year by 2018.
Academic institutions and healthcare companies are picking sides between their cloud computing offerings - Google Genomics or Amazon Web Services - spurring the two to one-up each other as they win high-profile genomics business, according to interviews with researchers, industry consultants and analysts.
That growth is being propelled by, among other forces, the push for personalized medicine, which aims to base treatments on a patient's DNA profile. Making that a reality will require enormous quantities of data to reveal how particular genetic profiles respond to different treatments.
Already, universities and drug manufacturers are embarking on projects to sequence the genomes of hundreds of thousands of people. The human genome is the full complement of DNA, or genetic material, a copy of which is found in nearly every cell of the body.
Clients view Google and Amazon as doing a better job storing genomics data than they can do using their own computers, keeping it secure, controlling costs and allowing it to be easily shared.
The cloud companies are going beyond storage to offer analytical functions that let scientists make sense of DNA data. Microsoft Corp. and International Business Machines are also competing for a slice of the market. The "cloud" refers to data or software that physically resides in a server and is accessible via the internet, which allows users to access it without downloading it to their own computer.
Now an estimated $100 million to $300 million business globally, the cloud genomics market is expected to grow to $1 billion by 2018, said research analyst Daniel Ives of investment bank FBR Capital. By that time, the entire cloud market should have $50 billion to $75 billion in annual revenue, up from about $30 billion now.
"The cloud is the entire future of this field," Craig Venter, who led a private effort to sequence the human genome in the 1990s, said in an interview. His new company, San Diego-based Human Longevity Inc, recently tried to import genomic data from servers at the J. Craig Venter Institute in Rockville, Maryland.
The transmission was so slow, scientists had to resort to sending disks and thumb drives by FedEx and human messengers, or "sneakernet," he said. The company now uses Amazon Web Services.
So does a collaboration between Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Pennsylvania-based Geisinger Health Systems to sequence 250,000 genomes. Raw DNA data is uploaded to Amazon's cloud, where software from privately-held DNAnexus assembles the millions of chunks into the full, 3-billion-letter long genome.
DNAnexus's algorithms then determine where an individual genome differs from the "reference" human genome, the company’s chief scientist Dr. David Shaywitz said, in hopes of identifying new drug targets.
HOSTING FOR FREE
Showing how important Google and Amazon view this business, and how they hope to use existing customers to lure future ones, each is hosting well-known genomics datasets for free.
Neither company discloses the amount of genomics data it holds, but based on interviews with analysts and genomic scientists, as well as the companies' own announcements of what customers they’ve won, Amazon Web Services may be bigger.
Data from the "1000 Genomes Project," an international public-private effort that identified genetic variations found in at least 1 percent of humans, reside at both Amazon and Google "without charge," said Kathy Cravedi of the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH), one of the project's sponsors.
Other paying clients with a more specific focus are picking sides.
Google, for instance, won a project from the Autism Speaks foundation to collect and analyze the genomes of 10,000 affected children and their parents for clues to the genetic basis of autism.
Another customer is Tute Genomics, whose database of 8.5 billion human DNA variants can be searched for how frequently any given variant appears, what traits it's associated with and how people with a certain variant respond to particular drugs.
Amazon is hosting the Multiple Myeloma Foundation’s project to collect complete-genome sequences and other data from 1,000 patients to identify new drug targets. It also won the Alzheimer's Disease Sequencing Project, which has similar aims.
Amazon charges about $4 to $5 a month to store one full human genome, and Google about $3 to $5 a month. The companies also charge for data transfers or computing time, as when scientists run analytical software on stored data.
Amazon's database-analysis tool, Redshift, costs 25 cents an hour or $1,000 per terabyte per year, the company said. A terabyte is 1 trillion bytes, or 1,000 gigabytes, about enough to hold 300 hours of high-quality video.
GENETIC GOLD
Another part of the cloud services' pitch to would-be customers is that their analytic tools can fish out genetic gold - a drug target, say, or a DNA variant that strongly predicts disease risk - from a sea of data. Any discoveries made through such searches belong to the owners of the data.
"On the local university server it might take months to run a computationally-intense" analysis, said Alzheimer’s project leader Dr. Gerard Schellenberg of the University of Pennsylvania. "On Amazon, it's, 'how fast do you need it done?', and they do it."
Another selling point is security. Universities are "generally pretty porous," said Ryan Permeh, chief scientist at cybersecurity company Cylance Inc., of Irvine, California, and the security of federal government computers is "not at the top of the class."
While academic and pharmaceutical research projects are the biggest customers for genomics cloud services, they will be overtaken by clinical applications in the next 10 years, said Google Genomics director of engineering David Glazer.
Individual doctors will regularly access a cloud service to understand how a patient's genetic profile affects his risk of various diseases or his likely response to medication.
"We are at that transition point now," Glazer said.
Matt Wood, general manager for Data Science at Amazon Web Services, sees cloud demand in genomics now as "a perfect storm," as the amount of data being created, the need for collaboration and the move of genomics into clinical care accelerate.
Experts on DNA and data say without access to the cloud, modern genomics would grind to a halt.
Bioinformatics expert Dr. Atul Butte of the University of California, San Francisco, said that now, when researchers at different universities are jointly working on NIH and other genomic data, they don't have to figure out how to make their computers talk to each other. In March, NIH cleared the way for major research on the cloud when it began allowing scientists to upload important genomic data.
The reason why despite the better than expected increase in jobs the US unemployment rate rose from 5.4% to 5.5% even as the number of Unemployed workers rose by 125K to 8,674MM was due to the 397K influx into the civilian labor force which rose to 157.459MM, a new record high in the series, which on the surface would suggest declining slack as more people who have been traditionally left out of the employment calculation go back into the labor pool.
Which aslo meant that since the total US civilian non-institutional population rose by half this number, the number of Americans not in the labor force declined by 208K to just about 93 million.
And, as a result, the biggest malady affecting the US economy today, is still in place: as the chart below shows, the labor force participation rate rose just barely from 62.8% to 62.9%, a range it has been for the past year. Indicatively, the last time the US labor force was here, was in mid-1978.
America has been invaded and is in the proces of being occupied. ILS towers which can be used to guide in troop transport planes and heavy equipment in bad weather are being put into the countryside outside of Cheyenne,Wyoming, where they have a lot of bad weather. Intellistreets “Big Brother” surveillance is being installed in Cheyenne, Wyoming as well and is prevalent at the local Walmart. In places like Flint, Michigan, our cities are being turned into potential battlegrounds as highly obnoxious and very aggressive military drills are underway and are serving to frighten the local population. The intent of the Jade Helm forces is becoming more clear with each passing day. We have foreign troops entering the country in central Texas and in Portland, Oregon. I have previously reported that the Michigan National Guard and Army Reserve Units have trained with foreign troops in late April.
America is being occupied by hostile forces as activities such as Jade Helm are also being imposed upon American communities.As many already know, JadeHelm is preparing Special Operation Forces to extract political dissidents and impose martial law as part of the drill. The infrastructure related to military occupation is being put into place at places like local Walmarts and in obscure placed like Wheatland, Wyoming. Unmistakably, the post-collapse America infrastructure is already being put into place all across the country as per the America 2050 Agenda 21 plan.

This is clearly intellistreets and I immediately recognized this because I have previously written about this. Intellistreets is the ultimate “Big Brother “surveillance device.

In the last line of the following manufacturer’s video on Intellistreets, they do admit to housing Department of Homeland Security features, but the video does not elaborate. We now have proof that this system is going into Cheyenne, Wyoming.

In the summer of 2013, I was contacted by an anonymous source who wanted to come on my show and expose a DARPA program of mind-reading being researched and implemented at Arizona State University. I have received reports from two insider sources over the past 5 weeks which state that a large number to Turkish forces will be brought into the United States to participate in Jade Helm. They being trained as a martial law enforcement unit who will not hesitate to use lethal force against noncompliant Americans when it comes to martial law enforcement. One source placed the amount of Turkish soldiers as high as 36,000.

I am a new listener, for the first time last night, as I discovered you by listening to Hagmann and Hagmann.
I am an employee at Walmart on Creighton Road in Pensacola, FL. Please keep me asanonymous. I have posted some of your stuff on Facebook, with the very real danger of losing my job, but folks need to know what is going on.
The reason for anonymous is this: I started working at Walmart in February, 2011. Some time in 2012, I noticed lots of Russians/Slavs in our store (about 25+). They were here for about two months, and they would come in groups to shop. They were very much into what they were doing, very determined shoppers, not easily distracted, very focused. I found out they were going through some kind of classes at NAS. That’s all my US military friend would tell me. Most spoke Russian (a very obvious language), but others spoke diverse Slavic languages. It is easy to tell a language when one has spent time traveling abroad, as I had in past years. While they were here, it definitely got my attention! Male and female, most of them young and strong, but not all. Some were older. One or two older ones seem to have taken permanent residence here.
Maybe I am too paranoid about their presence, but I grew up as a navy brat. My dad was in US Naval Intelligence.

Hello Dave. I drove around between Cheyenne, Wyoming and Wheatland, Wy about 67 miles on Interstate 25. I will attach some photos of the towers. Most have been added recently, say less then 2 years. There are clusters of 3 and there are 4 different areas between the cities. also i took a picture of a loaf and jug with a most odd fixture on it with large electrical lines to it. and one other picture of a white cone type thing. I first thought it was the tornado warning sirens but it is different than the others in Cheyenne town and this one is directed at the interstate and not at a residential area. I don’t know if they are anything worth noting but they are what is happening around here. Dave, we also last night had helicopters flying over our area just after dark using spotlights shining down. they were flying about 1500 ft. (guessing)

Speaking of Walmart
The following photos were taken at the Cheyenne, Wyoming Walmart. What you are seeing in the parking lot is of Intellistreets origin. Since Walmart is the most shopped retail outlet in America, it would make sense to put tracking equipment at Walmart.

The owners of American Pharoah agreed to a marketing deal early Wednesday morning that will blanket the horse with logos from the energy drink brand Monster ahead of his run for Triple Crown glory Saturday...
The deal will give Monster the right to have its logo on the horse's prerace cooling blanket and for the company's Monster girls to surround the horse leading up to the Belmont Stakes. The company also will get its logo on the hats of the Zayats, the family who bred the horse... The logo also will be on the collar of jockey Victor Espinoza during the race...

Triple Crown contender American Pharoah has corralled a huge sponsorship deal with Monster Energy.
It’s “the biggest in the history of horse racing,” said Ben Sturner, who brought the energy drink and American Pharoah owner Zayat Stables together into the seven-figure-plus deal through his Leverage sports-marketing agency...
Thanks to Mark for alerting me to this sponsorship deal. It does appear quite significant. As the article above states, this is the largest financial sponsorship of a horse in history. It is also an unusual pairing, as noted by Yahoo Finance Senior Columnist Michael Santoli.
Oddities and aberrations often grab my attention. Things that are out of the normal often are used as messages to reveal something that is hidden. For example why are the o and the a reversed in the spelling of the word Pharoah in this horse’s name? The letters a and o are often associated with Alpha and Omega, a phrase used to describe the Son of God. Would we not expect an anti-Christ to do things backwards? Why would Monster Energy Drink broker this deal with the owner of American Pharoah? What is the significance of this association? Perhaps it has to do with Monster’s logo, which has been widely discussed as being a 666 symbol.
The stylized letter “M” in the Monster logo is comprised of three repeated elements that bear an uncanny resemblance to the Hebrew letter Vav which carries the numeric value of 6. Thus the three Hebrew characters can be viewed as 666. When one adds to this the slogan adopted by Monster which states “Unleash the Beast!,” it is not hard to imagine that the 666 connection is intentional.
It should also be noted that Monster did not sponsor American Pharoah during the first two races of the Triple Crown. The third and final race will be held this Saturday, June 6th, 2015 which some people also view as a 666 date. It is the 6th day of the 6th month, and the digits of the year number 15 also add up to 6. 6/6/15(6)

We won’t have long to find out if American Pharoah is the first Triple Crown winner in 37 years. The last horse to win all three legs of the Triple Crown was Affirmed in 1978. The last 36 years of horse racing have failed to produce a Triple Crown winner. This is an unusually long dry spell for this achievement. The number 36 is itself an interesting number. It is the multiple of 6 times 6. Also, if you add up all the numbers from 1 to 36 their sum is 666.
Is there a message being proclaimed that it is time to “Release the Beast”? It seems significant that the Pope will be visiting Washington in September on very significant dates. In a previous post I quoted the author of the RedefiningGod website. Note the mention of the word “Crown” in what was cited.
September 22: The Pope will arrive in Washington, D.C. to covertly and symbolically remove the crown of world leadership from the US for its transfer to the UN. He will arrive in the evening to signify the end of “America’s Day,” and the Fall Equinox will occur during that night. So when the Pope visits Obama on the 23rd, this can be said: “The Fall (of the ‘American Empire’) begins the day the Pope visits the White House.” He will also speak before a joint session of Congress that day.
Why is it significant that he arrives on the 22nd? “22? is a Masonic “Master Number” and “because of its great power, the number 22 may result in outstanding ascendancy or disastrous downfall,” according to the numerologically-inclined. Here is the Pope’s itinerary.
September 25: On the third day after his arrival in Washington, the Pope will speak before the United Nations to covertly and symbolically crown it with world leadership…
The Pope’s speech will take place on the first day of the September 25-27 United Nations Summit to Adopt the Post-2015 Development Agenda. Following the meeting, we’re likely to see the globalists quickly implementing all the policies they’ve been telegraphing in recent times. There is additional significance to these dates. Yom Kippur begins the evening of September 22nd. Five days later is the first day of Sukkot, also known as the Feast of Tabernacles. This is a seven day Feast. This Sukkot there will be the final blood moon lunar eclipse of a Tetrad which has occurred in a two year span, each eclipse falling on a Hebrew Feast day.
The Pope’s visit is also an anomaly in that it will be the first time ever that the leader of the Roman Catholic Church will address both houses of Congress. We are living in a time when unprecedented events are happening. Let us be alert and sober.
